Gympass Vs Ifit

gympass-review

It is important to take care of your health and well-being. However, with how the world works, only the most dedicated people have the time to do regular exercise and meditation. Often, people are too busy working that what they have time for exercise is used for resting.

While it is not a company’s business regarding what their employees do in their free time, it would be in their interest to guide them toward a healthier and more active direction. After all, it is well known that regular exercise promotes health, and with healthy employees mean better results for the company.

It would be wrong for a company to force employees to exercise. Unless it is the army or some kind of job that requires its employees to be physically fit, such a requirement is not really necessary.

So what would be a good way to go about this? Well, a good place to start would be to guide them toward what you want. It is important to offer them a way to exercise or go to the gym that is easy and convenient.

That is where Gympass comes in.

What is Gympass? Gympass Vs Ifit

Gympass is a health and fitness platform and application that helps users follow an active lifestyle. Gympass makes it possible for users to have access to different tools that allow for a healthy lifestyle.

It is the brainchild of three entrepreneurs. Cesar Carvalho. Joao Barbosa and Vinicius Feriani. These three are currently the highest-ranking members of the Gympass echelon.

Carvalho currently holds the Global Chief Executive Officer position and is currently located in New York City, New York. Joao Barbosa takes over the task as the Global Head of Partnerships or Gyms and is currently living in Milan, Lombardia, Italy. Lastly, Ferriani serves as a board member and adviser.

More often than not, it is the lack of easy access to something that discourages people from doing that certain thing.

Consider the early days for Netflix. When Netflix and online streaming was still in their infancy, there was a noticeable drop in piracy rate. People finally found one platform that offered everything they needed.

People were again unable to access certain shows when other streaming platforms came on the scene and made certain films or shows available only to them.

The competition and over-saturation of these websites made it difficult (read expensive) for people to access the media they wanted, as such, many returned to piracy.

Despite streaming platforms becoming saturated, piracy has returned to an all-time high.

How does this relate to Gympass? Well, think of it as an allegory.

Imagine if Gympass is the streaming platform while the different gyms and other health-related services are the different shows and channels. Wouldn’t it make sense for people to get up and try the gym because they have easy access to it?

Gympass, as a platform, provides access to thousands of gyms and fitness studios worldwide. These even include personal trainers and nutritionists all in one service. Users have no excuse to fail in their fitness goals with the help of this range of resources and features.

Other highlights that Gympass provides include workout plans, tracking tools, and support from a huge Gympass Community.

Gympass, not Classpass

One of Gympass’s main competitions is Classpass. It is easy to see why, as both of them have similar-sounding names. One of the biggest differences between them is how they are presented and which markets they target.

Gympass, as the name suggests, is a service that sells services to companies and businesses to be used by employees. A Gympass Subscription is not available to individuals. Meanwhile, Classpass is only for individuals.

Gympass can be considered as a complete corporate platform that helps companies ensure the health and well-being of their employees. It can be used by the whole team to meet their health and lifestyle requirements.

When an employer gives Gympass benefits to its employees, it gives the best well-being brand to their fingertips. Gympass strives to make well-being accessible and universal for all people.

P.S. If you do not receive the four-digit verification code, please contact customer service. They will update your email and move forward with the registration process.

Activating Gympass Plans

You must first understand the activities available with each plan. This will depend on which plan you choose to avail with. Remember that the value of the available plans differs from company to company. This will depend on how much your company pays Gympass.

Once you finish your registration, the available plans will be shown on the app. The prices indicate how much each plan costs. Your company’s contract will determine the payment method.

Gympass can be paid either by deducting it from your payroll, or charging it to you credit card.

Your payment in the first month of Gympass will be bigger if you choose the payroll payment option.

Between the date you began using the app and the billing date for your company, you will be responsible for paying the entire amount and the proportional values.

Are you looking for a gym?

Now that you have registered for a Gympass account and have activated your plan, it is time to use it. The first thing you need to do is find a gym where you can exercise.

Looking for a gym is a very straightforward process.

Click on Search in your Gympass app and then browse the map. Of course, your GPS must be turned on and activated for the app to work correctly and accurately.

You can also look for a gym by searching for an address, activity, or by its name. To find a gym that is connected to the network, you’ll need a Gympass Account. Gympass Vs Ifit

The map will then pull up and indicate the closest partner gyms from your GPS location. If you want to find out more details about the gym, click on the purple dots.

Click on the name of the partner gym to view which plans and activities are available.

Gympass: Check in

Once you have found your gym, it’s time to check-in and use your Gympass.

You can only access a gym, participate in an activity or take part in a class if you check-in. You must be present at the studio or gym before you can check in. The location is approximately 100m away.

Check-in should also be done on your cell phone with the Gympass App.

Upon arriving at the activity’s location, open your Gympass App and then click on the “Check In” tab. Choose the location which you are currently visiting and then confirm your check-in.

Sometimes, the gym or studio may not appear in your app. Check the following to see if this happens:

  1. Your plan is active
  2. Your plan should include a gym
  3. If the gym’s address in the App matches the geolocation address in your cell phone

Also, you can only check in once per day. This means you can only visit one gym per day. But you can also go to different gyms in one month. Gympass Vs Ifit

For Partner Apps, you do not need to check-in. Using them is free; you can access them whenever you want.

Managing Dependent Accounts

One good thing about Gympass is that it allows you to include your dependents in the app. This feature is at the company’s discretion. This feature may be offered by your company.

Check your profile settings to see if this option is available. If your company offers this feature, a “dependents tab” should be visible. You cannot add family members to your Gympass accounts if this is not possible.

First, check to see if your plan has been activated before you can manage the accounts for your family members. Then, you can register them. You can then create a password to activate a plan.

Next, add a payment method to each member of your family. The maximum number of dependents you can add in Gympass is three persons. Your partner and your children are not considered dependents.

Each family member will have their own profile and account. These accounts will function in the same way as regular Gympass accounts, where they can search for gyms and check in for activities. Gympass Vs Ifit

Just because they have an account does not mean they can enjoy it permanently. A corporate user can cancel or change a plan for a family member.

Gympass Experience

Gympass was an option that I was able to use in my job. It was an added benefit so I tried it.

Of course, I first subscribed to the most affordable plan, which is the starter plan.

One thing I would advise is that if you plan to avail of their service, You should check out which gyms and studios are available first. In my case, I was lucky enough that there were a few who were partnering with Gympass in my area.

Nevertheless, I did need to travel at times. That was when I reached my destination. The gyms were only available for their higher plans. During those times, I was out luck.

Thankfully, virtual trainers were available for me during that period, and I took advantage of those. For these sessions, you can only book up to eight a month. If you are interested in booking these sessions, you will need to make an effort.

Gympass has one thing that I love: I have to check in every day. Otherwise I have to pay a fee for missed appointments. I was incentivized to stick with my workout regimens. Since I started the service, I have lost a lot of weight. Gympass Vs Ifit

The app is still available to me as of today. Actually, I upgraded my plan. And I’m very happy I did. Upgrading my plan allowed me to access more gyms and be studious. Some of these studios offered interesting activities, and most of them were enjoyable.
