Health and wellness are two very important things that nobody should neglect. However, with how the world works, only the most dedicated people have the time to do regular exercise and meditation. People are often so busy working that they don’t have the time to exercise, and instead use it for resting.

While it is not a company’s business regarding what their employees do in their free time, it would be in their interest to guide them toward a healthier and more active direction. Regular exercise is known to improve health and lead to better company results.

However, it would be wrong if the company mandates employees and forces them to an exercise regimen. This is not necessary unless the company has an army or other job that requires employees to be fit.

So what would be a good way to go about this? It is a good idea to help them find what they want. It is best to provide them with a good and accessible way to pursue exercise or go to the gym.

This is where Gympass steps in.

What is Gympass? Gympass Marketplace

Gympass, a platform and app for health and fitness that encourages users to live an active lifestyle, is Gympass. Gympass allows users to access different tools that can help them live a healthy life.

It is the brainchild of three entrepreneurs. Cesar Carvalho. Joao Barbosa and Vinicius Feriani. Currently, these three serve as the higher-ups of the Gympass echelon.

Carvalho currently holds the Global Chief Executive Officer position and is currently located in New York City, New York. Joao Barbosa assumes the role of Global Head of Partnerships/Gyms. He is currently residing in Milan, Lombardia. Ferriani is also a member of the board and an adviser.

Often, people are discouraged by the difficulty of accessing something.

Consider the early days for Netflix. When Netflix and online streaming was still in their infancy, there was a noticeable drop in piracy rate. This was because people finally found a single platform that carried everything they wanted to watch.

People were again unable to access certain shows when other streaming platforms came on the scene and made certain films or shows available only to them.

The competition and over-saturation of these websites made it difficult (read expensive) for people to access the media they wanted, as such, many returned to piracy.

Despite the oversaturation of streaming platforms, piracy returned to a record high.

So how does this connect with Gympass? Well, think of it as an allegory.

Imagine if Gympass is the streaming platform while the different gyms and other health-related services are the different shows and channels. Wouldn’t it make sense for people to get up and try the gym because they have easy access to it?

Gympass is a platform that allows you to access thousands of fitness studios and gyms around the world. You can even get personal trainers and nutritionists through one platform. With its range of features and resources, users have little excuse for why they should fail in their fitness goals.

Gympass also offers workout plans, tracking tools and support from a large Gympass community.

P.S. If you do not receive the four-digit verification code, please contact customer service. They will send an email update and proceed with the registration process.

Activating Gympass Plans

To begin, you must understand which activities are available for each plan. This will depend on which plan you choose to avail with. Remember that the value of the available plans differs from company to company. This will depend on how much your company pays Gympass.

Once you finish your registration, the available plans will be shown on the app. Prices indicate the cost of each plan. Your company’s contract will determine the payment method.

Gympass could be paid by either deducting the amount from your payroll or charging it to your credit card.

If you select the payroll payment option, your first month’s Gympass payment will be larger.

Between the date you began using the app and the billing date for your company, you will be responsible for paying the entire amount and the proportional values.

Looking for a Gym

Now that you have registered for a Gympass account and have activated your plan, it is time to use it. Of course, the first step would be to find a gym to work out in.

It is easy to find a gym.

On your Gympass App, click on Search and then browse the map. To make the app work properly and accurately, you must have your GPS activated and turned on.

A gym can be found by searching by an activity, address or name. Even when searching for a gym, you will need a Gympass account to see which one is connected to their network. Gympass Marketplace

The map will pull up and show you the nearest partner gyms to your GPS location. Click on the purple dots to learn more about the gym.

Click on the name of the partner gym to view which plans and activities are available.

Gympass: Check in

Once you have found your gym, it’s time to check-in and use your Gympass.

You can only access a gym, participate in an activity or take part in a class if you check-in. As such, you must be in the gym or studio’s premises before checking in. The location is approximately 100m away.

Check-in should also be done on your cell phone with the Gympass App.

Upon arriving at the activity’s location, open your Gympass App and then click on the “Check In” tab. Choose the location which you are currently visiting and then confirm your check-in.

Sometimes, the gym or studio may not appear in your app. If this happens, check if the following:

  1. Your plan is active
  2. The gym is part of your plan
  3. If the address of the gym in the App matches your geolocation address in your phone,

You can only check-in once per day. You can only visit one gym each day. You can visit multiple gyms within a single month. Gympass Marketplace

For Partner Apps, you do not need to check-in. They are free to use and you can access them at any time.

Managing Dependent Accounts

One good thing about Gympass is that it allows you to include your dependents in the app. This feature is at the company’s discretion. If your company offers this feature, then you are in luck.

Check your profile settings to see if this option is available. If your company offers this feature, a “dependents tab” should be visible. You cannot add family members to your Gympass accounts if this is not possible.

First, check to see if your plan has been activated before you can manage the accounts for your family members. Then, you can register them. Create a password and then activate a plan.

Up next, you must add a payment method for each family member. The maximum number of dependents you can add in Gympass is three persons. Only your partner and children are considered as dependents.

Each family member will have their own profile and account. These accounts will function in the same way as regular Gympass accounts, where they can search for gyms and check in for activities. Gympass Marketplace

Just because they have an account does not mean they can enjoy it permanently. The corporate user can still change or cancel a plan for a family member.

Gympass Experience

Gympass was an option that I was able to use in my job. Since it was already an added benefit, I went ahead and tried it.

Naturally, I subscribed first to the most economical plan, which was the starter plan.

One thing I would advise is that if you plan to avail of their service, You should check out which gyms and studios are available first. In my case, I was lucky enough that there were a few who were partnering with Gympass in my area.

That said, there were times when I needed to travel, and that was when I arrived at my destination. Only the higher plans had access to the gyms. During those times, I was out luck.

Thankfully, virtual trainers were available for me during that period, and I took advantage of those. These sessions can only be booked up to eight per month. So you put a conscious effort if you want to book those from time to time.

Gympass has one thing that I love: I have to check in every day. If I miss an appointment, I must pay a fee. This kind of incentivized me to follow my workout routines. Since I started the service, I have lost a lot of weight. Gympass Marketplace

As of today, I’m still using the app. Actually, I upgraded my plan. And I’m very happy I did. I was able to use more gyms and study at my new plan. These studios provided interesting activities that were most enjoyable.
