It is important to take care of your health and well-being. With the way the world works, not everyone has the time or energy to exercise regularly and meditate. Often, people are too busy working that what they have time for exercise is used for resting.
While it is not a company’s business regarding what their employees do in their free time, it would be in their interest to guide them toward a healthier and more active direction. Regular exercise is known to improve health and lead to better company results.
However, it would be wrong if the company mandates employees and forces them to an exercise regimen. Unless it is the army or some kind of job that requires its employees to be physically fit, such a requirement is not really necessary.
So what would be a good way to go about this? Well, a good place to start would be to guide them toward what you want. It is important to offer them a way to exercise or go to the gym that is easy and convenient.
This is where Gympass steps in.
For those of you who prefer a more visual experience, here is a video review from Adriano Pianesi on his YouTube channel. To get a comprehensive overview of Gympass, you may still want to check out our article below.
What is Gympass? David Lloyd Free Gym Pass
Gympass, a platform and app for health and fitness that encourages users to live an active lifestyle, is Gympass. Gympass allows users to access different tools that can help them live a healthy life.
It was the brainchild three entrepreneurs. Cesar Carvalho. Joao Barbosa and Vinicius Feriani. Currently, these three serve as the higher-ups of the Gympass echelon.
Carvalho is currently the Global Chief Executive Officer and is currently based in New York City. Joao Barbosa takes over the task as the Global Head of Partnerships or Gyms and is currently living in Milan, Lombardia, Italy. Ferriani is also a member of the board and an adviser.
Often, people are discouraged by the difficulty of accessing something.
Consider the early days for Netflix. When Netflix and online streaming was still in their infancy, there was a noticeable drop in piracy rate. People finally found one platform that offered everything they needed.
When other streaming platforms were introduced in the market and made certain films or shows exclusive to their platforms, people once again found it difficult to access certain shows.
Many people returned to piracy because of the competition and high levels of saturation on these websites.
Despite streaming platforms becoming saturated, piracy has returned to an all-time high.
How does this relate to Gympass? It can be viewed as an allegory.
Imagine Gympass being the streaming platform and the various gyms and health-related services the channels and shows. It would make sense for people who have easy access to the gym to go to the gym.
Gympass is a platform that allows you to access thousands of fitness studios and gyms around the world. You can even get personal trainers and nutritionists through one platform. Users have no excuse to fail in their fitness goals with the help of this range of resources and features.
Gympass also offers workout plans, tracking tools and support from a large Gympass community.

Activating Gympass Plans

After you have completed your registration, the app will display the available plans. The prices indicate how much each plan costs. The payment method will also depend on your company’s contract with Gympass.
Gympass could be paid by either deducting the amount from your payroll or charging it to your credit card.

You will need to pay for the full amount of your chosen plan and the proportional value between the day you started using the app and your company’s determined billing date.

You can also look for a gym by searching for an address, activity, or by its name. To find a gym that is connected to the network, you’ll need a Gympass Account. David Lloyd Free Gym Pass
The map will pull up and show you the nearest partner gyms to your GPS location. If you want to find out more details about the gym, click on the purple dots.
Click on the name of the partner gym to view which plans and activities are available.
Gympass: Check in
Once you have found your gym, it’s time to check-in and use your Gympass.
Check-in in is the only way to access a gym, do an activity, or join a live class. As such, you must be in the gym or studio’s premises before checking in. A good distance is about 100 meters near the location.
You can also check-in on your mobile phone using the Gympass App.
After arriving at the activity’s site, open Gympass App. Click on the “Check in” tab. Select the current location and confirm your check in.
Sometimes the studio or gym may not show up in your app. Check the following to see if this happens:
- Your plan is active
- Your plan should include a gym
- If the address of the gym in the App matches your geolocation address in your phone,
Also, you can only check in once per day. This means you can only visit one gym per day. But you can also go to different gyms in one month. David Lloyd Free Gym Pass
You don’t need to log-in for Partner Apps. Using them is free; you can access them whenever you want.
Managing Dependent Accounts
Gympass allows you to add your dependents into the app. This is a great feature. This feature is at the company’s discretion. If your company offers this feature, then you are in luck.
Check your profile settings to see if this option is available. A “dependents tab” should appear if your company offers it. You cannot add family members to your Gympass accounts if this is not possible.
To manage the accounts of your family members, first, you must check if your plan is active. Then, you can register them. You can then create a password to activate a plan.
Up next, you must add a payment method for each family member. You can only add three dependents to Gympass. Your partner and your children are not considered dependents.
Each member of the family will have their own profile. These accounts will function in the same way as regular Gympass accounts, where they can search for gyms and check in for activities. David Lloyd Free Gym Pass
Just because they have an account does not mean they can enjoy it permanently. A corporate user can cancel or change a plan for a family member.

Gympass Experience
I was lucky enough to be given access to Gympass in my work. It was an added benefit so I tried it.
Naturally, I subscribed first to the most economical plan, which was the starter plan.
I recommend that you check first which studios and gyms are open if your plan is to use their service. In my case, I was lucky enough that there were a few who were partnering with Gympass in my area.
Nevertheless, I did need to travel at times. That was when I reached my destination. The gyms were only available for their higher plans. During those times, I was out luck.
Virtual trainers were readily available during this time, which I was able to take advantage of. For these sessions, you can only book up to eight a month. If you are interested in booking these sessions, you will need to make an effort.
Gympass has one thing that I love: I have to check in every day. If I miss an appointment, I must pay a fee. I was incentivized to stick with my workout regimens. Lo and behold, I’ve lost a lot of weight since starting the service. David Lloyd Free Gym Pass
As of today, I’m still using the app. Actually, I upgraded my plan. And I’m very happy I did. I was able to use more gyms and study at my new plan. Some of these studios offered interesting activities, and most of them were enjoyable.

Gympass Final Thoughts
Gympass might be the future of fitness and active lifestyle, especially for employees. They found a way to promote wellness and health for employees.
Gympass seems to be a win-win situation. The employee gets to stay fit, while the employer can keep them happy and boost their activity, energy, and performance.
It seems that both the employer and employee have received their fair share of the service.
The only problem I see is that it is not available to single users. However, since Gympass has been earning more money with its business model, it seems that they have finally found something working for them.
