Contract Vs No Contract Gym Passes

gympass-review

It is important to take care of your health and well-being. However, with how the world works, only the most dedicated people have the time to do regular exercise and meditation. People are often so busy working that they don’t have the time to exercise, and instead use it for resting.

While it is not a company’s business regarding what their employees do in their free time, it would be in their interest to guide them toward a healthier and more active direction. Regular exercise is known to improve health and lead to better company results.

It would be wrong for a company to force employees to exercise. Unless it is the army or some kind of job that requires its employees to be physically fit, such a requirement is not really necessary.

So what would be a good way to go about this? Well, a good place to start would be to guide them toward what you want. It is important to offer them a way to exercise or go to the gym that is easy and convenient.

This is where Gympass steps in.

What is Gympass? Contract Vs No Contract Gym Passes

Gympass, a platform and app for health and fitness that encourages users to live an active lifestyle, is Gympass. Gympass allows users to access different tools that can help them live a healthy life.

It is the brainchild of three entrepreneurs. Cesar Carvalho. Joao Barbosa, and Vinicius Ferriani. Currently, these three serve as the higher-ups of the Gympass echelon.

Carvalho currently holds the Global Chief Executive Officer position and is currently located in New York City, New York. Joao Barbosa assumes the role of Global Head of Partnerships/Gyms. He is currently residing in Milan, Lombardia. Lastly, Ferriani serves as a board member and adviser.

Often, people are discouraged by the difficulty of accessing something.

Take the early days of Netflix, for example. When Netflix and online streaming was still in their infancy, there was a noticeable drop in piracy rate. People finally found one platform that offered everything they needed.

People were again unable to access certain shows when other streaming platforms came on the scene and made certain films or shows available only to them.

The competition and over-saturation of these websites made it difficult (read expensive) for people to access the media they wanted, as such, many returned to piracy.

Despite the oversaturation of streaming platforms, piracy returned to a record high.

So how does this connect with Gympass? It can be viewed as an allegory.

Imagine Gympass being the streaming platform and the various gyms and health-related services the channels and shows. Wouldn’t it make sense for people to get up and try the gym because they have easy access to it?

Gympass is a platform that allows you to access thousands of fitness studios and gyms around the world. You can even get personal trainers and nutritionists through one platform. With its range of features and resources, users have little excuse for why they should fail in their fitness goals.

Gympass also offers workout plans, tracking tools and support from a large Gympass community.

Once you finish your registration, the available plans will be shown on the app. The prices indicate how much each plan costs. Your company’s contract will determine the payment method.

Gympass can be paid either by deducting it from your payroll, or charging it to you credit card.

Your payment in the first month of Gympass will be bigger if you choose the payroll payment option.

Between the date you began using the app and the billing date for your company, you will be responsible for paying the entire amount and the proportional values.

Looking for a Gym

After you have created a Gympass account, and activated your plan it is now time to start using it. The first thing you need to do is find a gym where you can exercise.

It is easy to find a gym.

Click on Search in your Gympass app and then browse the map. Of course, your GPS must be turned on and activated for the app to work correctly and accurately.

A gym can be found by searching by an activity, address or name. Even when searching for a gym, you will need a Gympass account to see which one is connected to their network. Contract Vs No Contract Gym Passes

The map will then pull up and indicate the closest partner gyms from your GPS location. If you want to find out more details about the gym, click on the purple dots.

Click on the name of the partner gym to view which plans and activities are available.

Checking in to Gympass

Now that you’ve found your gym, it is time to check in and use your Gympass.

Check-in in is the only way to access a gym, do an activity, or join a live class. As such, you must be in the gym or studio’s premises before checking in. The location is approximately 100m away.

Check-in should also be done on your cell phone with the Gympass App.

Upon arriving at the activity’s location, open your Gympass App and then click on the “Check In” tab. Select the current location and confirm your check in.

Sometimes, the gym or studio may not appear in your app. If this happens, check if the following:

  1. Your plan is active
  2. Your plan should include a gym
  3. If the address of the gym in the App matches your geolocation address in your phone,

Also, you can only check in once per day. This means you can only visit one gym per day. You can visit multiple gyms within a single month. Contract Vs No Contract Gym Passes

For Partner Apps, you do not need to check-in. Using them is free; you can access them whenever you want.

Managing Dependent Accounts

One good thing about Gympass is that it allows you to include your dependents in the app. This feature is at the company’s discretion. This feature may be offered by your company.

You can check if this feature is available by looking at your profile settings. If your company offers this feature, a “dependents tab” should be visible. You cannot add family members to your Gympass accounts if this is not possible.

To manage the accounts of your family members, first, you must check if your plan is active. You can then register them. Create a password and then activate a plan.

Next, add a payment method to each member of your family. You can only add three dependents to Gympass. Only your partner and children are considered as dependents.

Each family member will have their own profile and account. These accounts will function in the same way as regular Gympass accounts, where they can search for gyms and check in for activities. Contract Vs No Contract Gym Passes

Just because they have an account does not mean they can enjoy it permanently. A corporate user can cancel or change a plan for a family member.

Gympass Experience

Gympass was an option that I was able to use in my job. It was an added benefit so I tried it.

Of course, I first subscribed to the most affordable plan, which is the starter plan.

I recommend that you check first which studios and gyms are open if your plan is to use their service. My case was fortunate enough to find a few Gympass partners in my area.

Nevertheless, I did need to travel at times. That was when I reached my destination. Only the higher plans had access to the gyms. During those times, I was out luck.

Thankfully, virtual trainers were available for me during that period, and I took advantage of those. For these sessions, you can only book up to eight a month. So you put a conscious effort if you want to book those from time to time.

Gympass has one thing that I love: I have to check in every day. Otherwise I have to pay a fee for missed appointments. This kind of incentivized me to follow my workout routines. Lo and behold, I’ve lost a lot of weight since starting the service. Contract Vs No Contract Gym Passes

The app is still available to me as of today. Actually, I upgraded my plan. And I can say I am very happy that I did. I was able to use more gyms and study at my new plan. These studios provided interesting activities that were most enjoyable.

Gympass Final Thoughts

Gympass could be the future for fitness and an active lifestyle, especially for employees. They have figured out a way to really promote health and wellness to employees of a company.

Gympass seems to be a win-win situation. The employee gets to stay fit, while the employer can keep them happy and boost their activity, energy, and performance.

As a result, it seems like both the employee and the employer have gotten their money’s worth for the service.

I guess the only glaring downside would be the fact that it is unavailable to single users. However, since Gympass has been earning more money with its business model, it seems that they have finally found something working for them.
