Health and wellness are two very important things that nobody should neglect. However, with how the world works, only the most dedicated people have the time to do regular exercise and meditation. People are often so busy working that they don’t have the time to exercise, and instead use it for resting.
Although it is not the company’s responsibility to determine what employees do with their time, it would be in their best interest to help them move in a more active and healthy direction. Regular exercise is known to improve health and lead to better company results.
It would be wrong for a company to force employees to exercise. This is not necessary unless the company has an army or other job that requires employees to be fit.
So what would be a good way to go about this? It is a good idea to help them find what they want. It is important to offer them a way to exercise or go to the gym that is easy and convenient.
That is where Gympass comes in.
For those of you who prefer a more visual experience, here is a video review from Adriano Pianesi on his YouTube channel. To get a comprehensive overview of Gympass, you may still want to check out our article below.
What is Gympass? Can Gympass Vs Matthysse
Gympass is a health and fitness platform and application that helps users follow an active lifestyle. Gympass makes it possible for users to have access to different tools that allow for a healthy lifestyle.
It was the brainchild three entrepreneurs. Cesar Carvalho. Joao Barbosa and Vinicius Feriani. Currently, these three serve as the higher-ups of the Gympass echelon.

Often, people are discouraged by the difficulty of accessing something.
Take the early days of Netflix, for example. When Netflix and online streaming was still in their infancy, there was a noticeable drop in piracy rate. This was because people finally found a single platform that carried everything they wanted to watch.
People were again unable to access certain shows when other streaming platforms came on the scene and made certain films or shows available only to them.
Many people returned to piracy because of the competition and high levels of saturation on these websites.
Despite streaming platforms becoming saturated, piracy has returned to an all-time high.
So how does this connect with Gympass? Well, think of it as an allegory.
Imagine Gympass being the streaming platform and the various gyms and health-related services the channels and shows. Wouldn’t it make sense for people to get up and try the gym because they have easy access to it?

The map will then pull up and indicate the closest partner gyms from your GPS location. If you want to find out more details about the gym, click on the purple dots.
You can then click on the partner gym’s name to see which plan and activities are available when you go there.
Checking in to Gympass
Once you have found your gym, it’s time to check-in and use your Gympass.
Check-in in is the only way to access a gym, do an activity, or join a live class. You must be present at the studio or gym before you can check in. A good distance is about 100 meters near the location.
You can also check-in on your mobile phone using the Gympass App.
Upon arriving at the activity’s location, open your Gympass App and then click on the “Check In” tab. Select the current location and confirm your check in.
Sometimes, the gym or studio may not appear in your app. If this happens, check if the following:
- Your plan is active
- Your plan should include a gym
- If the address of the gym in the App matches your geolocation address in your phone,
You can only check-in once per day. This means you can only visit one gym per day. You can visit multiple gyms within a single month. Can Gympass Vs Matthysse
For Partner Apps, you do not need to check-in. They are free to use and you can access them at any time.
Managing Dependent Accounts
Gympass allows you to add your dependents into the app. This is a great feature. However, this feature will depend on the discretion of your company. This feature may be offered by your company.
Check your profile settings to see if this option is available. A “dependents tab” should appear if your company offers it. If not, you are not allowed to add family members to your Gympass account.
First, check to see if your plan has been activated before you can manage the accounts for your family members. You can then register them. Create a password and then activate a plan.
Up next, you must add a payment method for each family member. The maximum number of dependents you can add in Gympass is three persons. Your partner and your children are not considered dependents.
Each member of the family will have their own profile. These accounts will function in the same way as regular Gympass accounts, where they can search for gyms and check in for activities. Can Gympass Vs Matthysse
They can’t enjoy their account forever just because they have one. The corporate user can still change or cancel a plan for a family member.

Gympass Experience
I was lucky enough to be given access to Gympass in my work. It was an added benefit so I tried it.
Of course, I first subscribed to the most affordable plan, which is the starter plan.
I recommend that you check first which studios and gyms are open if your plan is to use their service. In my case, I was lucky enough that there were a few who were partnering with Gympass in my area.
That said, there were times when I needed to travel, and that was when I arrived at my destination. The gyms were only available for their higher plans. So during those times, I was out of luck.
Thankfully, virtual trainers were available for me during that period, and I took advantage of those. For these sessions, you can only book up to eight a month. So you put a conscious effort if you want to book those from time to time.
One thing I like about Gympass is that I must check in daily. Otherwise I have to pay a fee for missed appointments. This kind of incentivized me to follow my workout routines. Lo and behold, I’ve lost a lot of weight since starting the service. Can Gympass Vs Matthysse
The app is still available to me as of today. Actually, I upgraded my plan. And I can say I am very happy that I did. Upgrading my plan allowed me to access more gyms and be studious. These studios provided interesting activities that were most enjoyable.

Gympass could be the future for fitness and an active lifestyle, especially for employees. They found a way to promote wellness and health for employees.

It seems that both the employer and employee have received their fair share of the service.
