Health and wellness are two very important things that nobody should neglect. With the way the world works, not everyone has the time or energy to exercise regularly and meditate. People are often so busy working that they don’t have the time to exercise, and instead use it for resting.
While it is not a company’s business regarding what their employees do in their free time, it would be in their interest to guide them toward a healthier and more active direction. Regular exercise is known to improve health and lead to better company results.
It would be wrong for a company to force employees to exercise. Unless it is the army or some kind of job that requires its employees to be physically fit, such a requirement is not really necessary.
What is the best way to do this? Well, a good place to start would be to guide them toward what you want. It is best to provide them with a good and accessible way to pursue exercise or go to the gym.
That is where Gympass comes in.
For those of you who prefer a more visual experience, here is a video review from Adriano Pianesi on his YouTube channel. You may want to read our article for a more comprehensive review of Gympass.
What is Gympass? Ber Alles
Gympass, a platform and app for health and fitness that encourages users to live an active lifestyle, is Gympass. Gympass allows users to access different tools that can help them live a healthy life.
It was the brainchild three entrepreneurs. Cesar Carvalho. Joao Barbosa and Vinicius Feriani. These three are currently the highest-ranking members of the Gympass echelon.
Carvalho currently holds the Global Chief Executive Officer position and is currently located in New York City, New York. Joao Barbosa takes over the task as the Global Head of Partnerships or Gyms and is currently living in Milan, Lombardia, Italy. Ferriani is also a member of the board and an adviser.
Often, people are discouraged by the difficulty of accessing something.
Consider the early days for Netflix. There was a drop in piracy rates when Netflix and online streaming were still in their infancy. People finally found one platform that offered everything they needed.
When other streaming platforms were introduced in the market and made certain films or shows exclusive to their platforms, people once again found it difficult to access certain shows.
Many people returned to piracy because of the competition and high levels of saturation on these websites.
Despite streaming platforms becoming saturated, piracy has returned to an all-time high.
So how does this connect with Gympass? It can be viewed as an allegory.
Imagine Gympass being the streaming platform and the various gyms and health-related services the channels and shows. It would make sense for people who have easy access to the gym to go to the gym.

After you have completed your registration, the app will display the available plans. The prices indicate how much each plan costs. The payment method will also depend on your company’s contract with Gympass.
Gympass could be paid by either deducting the amount from your payroll or charging it to your credit card.

Between the date you began using the app and the billing date for your company, you will be responsible for paying the entire amount and the proportional values.
Looking for a Gym
Now that you have registered for a Gympass account and have activated your plan, it is time to use it. Of course, the first step would be to find a gym to work out in.
It is easy to find a gym.
Click on Search in your Gympass app and then browse the map. To make the app work properly and accurately, you must have your GPS activated and turned on.
You can also look for a gym by searching for an address, activity, or by its name. Even when searching for a gym, you will need a Gympass account to see which one is connected to their network. Ber Alles
The map will then pull up and indicate the closest partner gyms from your GPS location. Click on the purple dots to learn more about the gym.
You can then click on the partner gym’s name to see which plan and activities are available when you go there.
Gympass: Check in
Now that you’ve found your gym, it is time to check in and use your Gympass.
Check-in in is the only way to access a gym, do an activity, or join a live class. As such, you must be in the gym or studio’s premises before checking in. A good distance is about 100 meters near the location.
Check-in should also be done on your cell phone with the Gympass App.
Upon arriving at the activity’s location, open your Gympass App and then click on the “Check In” tab. Choose the location which you are currently visiting and then confirm your check-in.
Sometimes the studio or gym may not show up in your app. Check the following to see if this happens:
- Your plan is active
- The gym is part of your plan
- If the gym’s address in the App matches the geolocation address in your cell phone
You can only check-in once per day. You can only visit one gym each day. You can visit multiple gyms within a single month. Ber Alles
For Partner Apps, you do not need to check-in. Using them is free; you can access them whenever you want.
Managing Dependent Accounts
One good thing about Gympass is that it allows you to include your dependents in the app. This feature is at the company’s discretion. This feature may be offered by your company.
Check your profile settings to see if this option is available. If your company offers this feature, a “dependents tab” should be visible. You cannot add family members to your Gympass accounts if this is not possible.
First, check to see if your plan has been activated before you can manage the accounts for your family members. You can then register them. You can then create a password to activate a plan.
Up next, you must add a payment method for each family member. The maximum number of dependents you can add in Gympass is three persons. Your partner and your children are not considered dependents.
Each member of the family will have their own profile. These accounts will work in the same manner as regular Gympass accounts. They can search for gyms, check in for activities, and more. Ber Alles
They can’t enjoy their account forever just because they have one. A corporate user can cancel or change a plan for a family member.

Gympass Experience
Gympass was an option that I was able to use in my job. Since it was already an added benefit, I went ahead and tried it.
Of course, I first subscribed to the most affordable plan, which is the starter plan.
I recommend that you check first which studios and gyms are open if your plan is to use their service. In my case, I was lucky enough that there were a few who were partnering with Gympass in my area.
That said, there were times when I needed to travel, and that was when I arrived at my destination. Only the higher plans had access to the gyms. So during those times, I was out of luck.
Virtual trainers were readily available during this time, which I was able to take advantage of. For these sessions, you can only book up to eight a month. So you put a conscious effort if you want to book those from time to time.
One thing I like about Gympass is that I must check in daily. Otherwise I have to pay a fee for missed appointments. I was incentivized to stick with my workout regimens. Since I started the service, I have lost a lot of weight. Ber Alles
As of today, I’m still using the app. In fact, I have since upgraded my plan. And I can say I am very happy that I did. I was able to use more gyms and study at my new plan. Some of these studios offered interesting activities, and most of them were enjoyable.
