Who Coordinates the Ride and Who Benefits?

Lufkin Host Lions ClubThe Lufkin Host Lions Club exists to give back to the community! Through the years we’ve given more than one million dollars to area non-profits to help them extend their reach to the areas underserved. This year we have partnered with the Beth and Horace Stubblefield Learning Center as the recipient of the net proceeds from the Pineywoods Purgatory.

The Beth and Horace Stubblefield Learning Center is a non-traditional public high school focusing on dropout recovery and prevention. Their academic program targets Angelina Stubblefield Learning Center County’s at-risk youth population between the ages of 16 and 21. Through the school, students are able to earn a high school diploma from their home campus.

Stubblefield Learning Center enlists the aid of community organizations to improve educational, social, safety, and recreational opportunities for children and their families. The Center is located at 502 College Drive in Lufkin and they can be reached by calling (936)-634-1100.
